BOOKING INSTRUCTIONS
Note! If the booking is not successful in the booking system, you can book the product at the resort reception.
Equipment is booked hourly, but the actual booking time is always 10 minutes to a full hour, as the last 10 minutes of time are reserved for equipment maintenance and inspection for the next customer. The actual booking time is therefore 50 minutes / 1 h 50 minutes / 2 h 50 minutes etc. Remember to return the rented equipment to Tommolansalmi 10 minutes before the end of the rental period.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING MOUNTAIN BIKES
In order to be able to correctly estimate the booking time you need, measure the length of your planned route (unless it is a pre-planned and measured route), for example using the map of the Mäntyharjun karttapalvelu (Mäntyharju map service) https://mantyharju.karttatiimi.fi/ (use the measurement tool). If you cycle at a light speed, you can estimate the time spent cycling, e.g. at an average speed of 15 km/h.
Before cycling, check that the bike's brakes, gears and lights are working.
When using bicycles, a cycling helmet must be worn.
If you borrow a helmet from Tommolansalmi, we recommend using your own protective headgear under the helmet, e.g. a scarf or a thin tube scarf.
When cycling on a dark, use a white light at the front and a red light at the back.
GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR ALL EQUIPMENT RENTAL PRODUCTS
Before you set off on the water, road or off-road, let someone close to you know your planned route and schedule. If you are travelling alone, tell the Tommolansalmi staff your route, where you are going and your schedule. Please also remember to inform them of any changes to your route.
The use of rental and loanable equipment while ill or under the influence of alcohol or drugs is prohibited.
Take a hiking map with you. A separate hiking map has also been made for the Lake Korpijärvi area and the surrounding area, which includes simple maps of the most important destinations in the area. The map can be purchased at the resort's reception.
The Mäntyharjun karttapalvelu (Mäntyharju map service) also has a good map suitable for hiking: https://mantyharju.karttatiimi.fi/. From the menu on the left, select Aineistot (Data) > Kartat (Maps) > Peruskartta (Basic map) to see the terrain markings of Mäntyharju and the surrounding areas. Some of the hiking trails in the area can be seen under Liikuntapalvelut (Sports services). The names of the streets and roads are displayed on the Opaskartta (Guide map).
